A Toronto-based team of innovative digital communications professionals dedicated to giving back.
Press Pillay is founded and led by journalist-turned-marketing-pro Nesh, the "Robin Hood" of PR.
A former journalist who covered international advertising and marketing as a founding reporter of The Drum’s New York team, she later joined Toronto-based EQ Works as their VP of Marketing, where she honed the art of “marketing for the marketer.”
Nesh has previously appeared in Canadian Association for Marketing Professionals and Direct Marketing Magazine. Her secret weapon is having learned the in's and out's of marketing, PR and branding from "the other side."
She believes that empathy can fix the world.
Having worked in both marketing and editorial capacities, Jessie oversees the development and execution of PR, social and strategic communications strategies for the agency’s roster of clients.
Prior to joining Press Pillay, Jessie worked abroad in Hong Kong as Director of Marketing at AIESEC, and then as Digital Editorial Assistant at Hong Kong Tatler.
With a background in scientific research, Ingrid is spearheading the analytics and informatics aspects of the agency, with the goal of data-driven growth.
She is also responsible for Pillanthropy, our digital marketing initiative for non-profits.
Bea grew up in Manila, Philippines, where she worked in advertising as a media planner for GroupM and then handled marketing for Shopee, a leading online shopping platform in Asia. With media strategy and communication planning skills under her belt, she moved to Toronto to pursue her dreams and also to book shorter plane rides to Europe.
Merishka is currently attending University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management. She is in charge of Press Pillay’s social outreach and content creation initiatives.
